The new £50 is the fourth Bank of England note to 'go polymer', following the £5 in 2016, £10 in 2017 and £20 in February 2020 (just before everything kicked off!). All of our bank note counters are polymer note ready and will also count any cotton-paper notes you might have. Old paper £20 and £50 notes will expire on 30th September 2022.
